"I thought the bass player was particularly good." -Lee Konitz
"The guitar player was great! Who is he?" -Harold Jones
Both the bass player and guitar player are Craig Hall.
Craig lives in Bozeman, Montana, where he plays in every single flippin’ band. He is a frequent visitor to DalyJazz where he has performed with Dena DeRose/Eddie Marshall, Azar Lawrence/Benito Gonzalez, Grace Kelly, Lee Konitz, Peter Sprague, Joey Calderazzo, Scotty Wright, Jeni Fleming, and Eden Atwood. Beyond musical magic on guitar and upright bass greatly appreciated by visiting musicians, Craig’s multiple talents including washing DalyJazz dishes, shopping for DalyJazz food and drink, shuttling DalyJazz musicians, providing DalyJazz sound equipment and instruments, and hosting DalyJazz artists.
Drummer Adam Greenberg has been playing music for over 20 years. He became interested in jazz as a teenager and continued studying from the great John Von Olen, a veteran of the mid-west jazz scene while in college. Adam led his own big band as well as playing with various groups before relocating to Bozeman, Montana, where he plays in every single flippin’ band. Adam’s previous visit to DalyJazz was with Jeni Fleming in 2009.
Acoustic bassist Emma Dayhuff graduated from Bozeman Senior High School and entered Oberlin, where she studied bass privately with Eddie Gomez and others. Graduating from Oberlin with a performance degree, she then moved to Chicago, where she is near starvation. She’s presently working with Bill McGlaughlin, whom you may know if you enjoy the NPR radio show “St. Paul Sunday.”
